Community Hub Opening in Poulosa Community

A community brings people together to share ideas, values, laughter, happiness, and, in some cases, business. In this case, our community brought people together to share a business through the opening of a waste conversion hub for the beneficiaries.

In March, RippleAfrica Trust Foundation gathered representatives from MDAs in Niger state at Hali Plaza, Suleja, for the official launch of the Community Waste Conversion Hub.  The event commenced with a community sensitization walk from Poulosa community, which concluded at the plaza, where the rest of the activities took place. The event was graced by two traditional leaders – Dakachi Rafinsanyi and the Dakachi Kwankashe, Representative of Suleja LGA and Women Affairs. The Gbagyi dancers dazzled guests with a vibrant display of the rich cultural heritage of Niger state.

To ensure sustainability, the store was fully equipped with all the equipment the beneficiaries needed to continue production. In addition, a bin for waste collection was provided to support the gathering of waste that the beneficiaries can use. The launch of the Waste Conversion Hub also marked the successful conclusion of the Waste-to-Wealth Project. As community engagement was at the heart of the project from the very beginning, it was only fitting that we concluded it in the same way- by bringing together community members and stakeholders to celebrate.

So, there you have it. Our community waste conversion hub is operational, and we call on all and sundry to support these women by visiting this hub and buying whatever produced item you see, and also donate all plastic waste to our collection hub

Let us unite and create a safe environment for all.
